Privacy Policy

Padelo is a competitive padel ranking app operated by Högni Freyr Gunnarsson (“we”, “us”) at padelo.tech. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, including if you sign in with Google or Apple.

What we collect

• Account details: email, name, username, password (stored by our auth provider, not in plain text), gender, country, and optional profile photo.
• If you sign in with Google or Apple: the email, name, and profile photo those services share with us. Apple may give us a private relay email instead of your real address.
• Onboarding answers about how you play padel, used to set a starting Elo rating. Your numbered level stays hidden until you have played 10 sets.
• Match data: who played, set scores, confirmations, and Elo changes.
• Friend requests and accepted friendships. If you email a match invite, we use the address you typed only to send that join link.
• Session cookies so you stay signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party ad trackers.

How we use it

We use this data to run Padelo: accounts, rankings, matches, friends, and emails such as signup confirmation and match invites. We do not sell your data. We do not show ads.

Other players can see your public profile (name, username, country, matches, Elo, and your level after it is unlocked). Onboarding answers are not shown on your public profile. Site operators can see them to support the product.

Who processes it

• Supabase — accounts, database, and login.
• Vercel — hosting the website.
• Resend and Amazon SES — transactional email (signup confirmation and match invites).
• Google or Apple — only if you choose to sign in with them.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and match history while the account exists. You can ask us to delete your account. Deleting a player also removes their matches so Elo can be reversed for the other people in those games.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA, UK, or a similar region, you can ask to access, correct, or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email hognifreyr97@gmail.com.

Padelo is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page will change when we do.
